1.0 About ELAN

The Equipment Leasing Association of Nigeria (ELAN) is a Business membership Organisation (BMO) established in 1983, primarily to promote the business of leasing. Membership of the Association consists Banks, Finance Houses, Independent Leasing Companies, Vendors, Insurance Companies, Professional Firm and Individuals.

2.0. Why the Industrial Attachment/Internship programme

The programme is designed to build the capacity of undergraduates on equipment leasing. In essence, the programme offers hands-on working knowledge of leasing, create a career path for young people and provide a pool of professionals for the industry.

3.0 How will the programme run

– The programme will run for 1 or 2  months, depending on the duration of internship of the beneficiary institution,  and shall be held virtual and in-person,  as the case maybe.

– The programme will involve open engagement, lectures and visitation to leasing companies.

– The course outline will involve various aspects of leasing including:

  • Lease Marketing
  • Risk Assessment
  • Lease Portfolio Management,
  • Lease Pricing / Structuring, Legal, Accounting and Taxation.

– Upon completion of the programme, certificates shall be given to participants.

4.0 Eligibility

Students in higher institutions, irrespective of course of study.
